Beal Homes Submits Plans for 418 Homes in Sutton-on-Hull

Beal Homes has submitted a £120 million proposal to build 418 new homes on a 38-acre site in Sutton-on-Hull, contributing significantly to Hull City Council's target of nearly 6,000 new homes by 2031. The development will feature a variety of house types, including two-bedroom starter homes, three-bedroom family homes, and four-bedroom detached houses, with 41 homes designated as affordable. Plans include the creation of new public open spaces, such as a green corridor along the southern boundary acting as a natural buffer and scenic walking route, as well as a pond serving drainage and aesthetic purposes. The developer intends to retain existing hedgerows and trees while planting additional trees to ensure a net biodiversity gain of at least 10%. Accessibility improvements involve two new access points and a proposed extension of the local bus route to ease traffic and enhance public transport. Beal emphasizes the development's goal to blend urban living with natural surroundings, fostering community integration and addressing the growing demand for quality housing in the Sutton area.
