Historic Garden Week to Showcase 120+ Virginia Homes, April 24-May 1

The Shenandoah Garden Club is set to showcase Beallair Manor House in Charles Town during the 2025 Shenandoah-Potomac Garden Council House and Garden Tour, featuring unique floral arrangements tailored to each room, with historical notes detailing the estate's rich past dating back to 1770. Meanwhile, Historic Garden Week in Virginia will include tours of 15 private properties in Richmond, highlighting unique gardens and historic homes, with proceeds supporting the preservation of public gardens across the state. Additionally, Little Oak Spring, the former home of horticulturist Rachel ‘Bunny’ Mellon, will be part of the Historic Garden Week tour, featuring her notable garden designs. The Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council will host its 46th Historic Springfield Tour of Homes and Gardens in Jacksonville, showcasing eight properties and local businesses. This statewide event, organized by The Garden Club of Virginia, aims to raise funds for historic preservation and garden restoration projects. Historic Garden Week, established in 1927, continues to attract thousands of visitors each year, promoting Virginia's rich horticultural heritage.
