Netflix Film 'Scoop' Recreates Prince Andrew Interview

Netflix is set to release a film called Scoop, which dramatizes the infamous 2019 Newsnight interview with Prince Andrew and details the drama behind securing the interview. The film is based on Sam McAlister's book and stars Gillian Anderson as Emily Maitlis and Rufus Sewell as Prince Andrew. Sewell spent three hours a day in the makeup chair, while Anderson studied the interview and previous episodes of Newsnight. This will be a valuable addition to Netflix's catalog and is produced by Philip Martin, known for directing episodes of The Crown. The film is set to be released on Netflix in spring.
