Norris finishes second in Chinese GP despite brake issues

Lando Norris expressed relief after finishing second in the Chinese Grand Prix amidst a critical brake issue that nearly compromised his race. He completed the race just 1.3 seconds ahead of George Russell, admitting that if the race had lasted a few more laps, he likely would have retired due to the worsening brakes. Team principal Andrea Stella confirmed that the brake problem became noticeable around 15-20 laps from the end, but the team managed the situation effectively to secure a one-two finish with teammate Oscar Piastri winning the race. Norris noted that he felt lucky to finish and described the experience as a 'driver's worst nightmare.' Despite the challenges, he acknowledged Piastri's deserving victory and emphasized the need to address the brake issues moving forward. Norris currently leads the championship by eight points over his closest rival, Max Verstappen, who finished fourth.
