Liverpool Council Advances £5m Anfield Regeneration Plans

Liverpool City Council has advanced plans for a £5 million regeneration scheme to transform the area surrounding Liverpool FC's Anfield Stadium, focusing on Walton Breck Road and nearby streets. The project aims to create a safer, greener, and more inclusive environment by improving pedestrian connectivity, adding soft landscaping and tree planting, modernizing street lighting, and introducing a mini-roundabout to improve traffic flow. These enhancements are part of the broader Anfield Spatial Regeneration Framework, which supports matchday operations and integrates with other ongoing community investments totaling £250 million, including over 600 new homes and stadium upgrades.
