Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have become co-owners of Australia's SailGP team, now rebranded as the BONDS Flying Roos, in partnership with the Australian underwear brand BONDS. The team has been highly successful, winning three championships in four seasons of the high-speed SailGP series, which features 50-foot catamarans racing at speeds up to 100 km/h in global venues. Reynolds, who also co-owns soccer clubs including Wrexham AFC, expressed excitement about the venture alongside Jackman, who brings a strong connection to his home country and passion for sailing. The BONDS Flying Roos will debut under their new ownership at the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix in June, aiming to defend their top spot on the championship leaderboard. This investment aligns with SailGP's strategy to increase global interest in competitive sailing, with CEO and driver Tom Slingsby highlighting the significance of the actors' involvement.
