Man Charged Over Glasgow Loch Lomond Death

Police investigating the disappearance and death of 38-year-old Graham Wright — last seen in Glasgow’s Gorbals on 20 August — recovered his remains at Rubha Dubh near Firkin Point on 13 September. A 50‑year‑old man has been arrested and charged in connection with Wright’s death and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court; a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and extensive enquiries remain ongoing. Separately, 53‑year‑old John Roarty appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice and was remanded in custody. Police said Mr Wright’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Detectives have described the death as unexplained and have said it may not be a murder.
