Late 2025 Theaters Packed With Blockbusters
Late October and November bring a busy theatrical and streaming schedule, led by Oct. 31 releases The Wrecker (in theaters; on demand Nov. 5) and Ballad of a Small Player (selected theaters and Netflix), with critics praising Ballad and noting The Wrecker as a throwback actioner. November’s theatrical slate includes Predator: Badlands (directed by Dan Trachtenberg) and Die, My Love (starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, directed by Lynne Ramsay) on Nov. 7, and Edgar Wright’s The Running Man (based on a Stephen King story) on Nov. 14. Warner’s Wicked: For Good opens Nov. 21 and will be followed the next Wednesday by Zootopia 2, a Thanksgiving pairing intended to give families compatible options rather than direct competition. Peacock/NBC will air a one-night concert special, Wicked: One Wonderful Night, on Nov. 7 featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo to support the franchise. Studios are leaning into strategic release timing and cross-platform promotion to maximize holiday box office and streaming visibility across a mix of genres.
