Oklo, RPower Develop Phased Power Solution for Data Centers

Oklo Inc. has partnered with RPower to introduce a phased energy model aimed at improving power availability for data centers. This innovative approach combines immediate energy solutions through RPower's natural gas generators with a future transition to clean energy from Oklo's Aurora reactors, effectively phasing out diesel generators. The model will roll out in three stages, starting with the deployment of natural gas generators within approximately 24 months, followed by the integration of the Aurora powerhouses as they become commercially viable. The collaboration is designed to ensure reliable energy access today while paving the way for sustainable operations in the future. This partnership reflects a growing trend in the power sector to merge natural gas and nuclear solutions for enhanced efficiency and sustainability. With an order backlog of 14 gigawatts, Oklo is positioned to address both immediate and long-term energy challenges for data centers.
