MS-13 Member Sentenced for Quadruple Murder
Leniz Escobar, 24, an MS-13 gang member known as 'Diablita,' has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for her role in the 2017 machete murders of four young men in a Long Island park. Convicted of four counts of murder in aid of racketeering, Escobar lured the victims under the pretense of smoking marijuana, after which they were brutally hacked to death by gang members. Prosecutors revealed that Escobar felt personally affronted by the victims' perceived mockery of the gang, prompting the deadly attack. During sentencing, U.S. Judge Joseph Bianco emphasized her enthusiastic participation in the planning and execution of the murders. Escobar expressed remorse in court, acknowledging the pain caused to the victims' families. She is among several individuals charged in connection with this case, with others also facing significant prison sentences.
