Tinubu, Google CEO Discuss AI Partnership in Paris

President Bola Tinubu met with Google CEO Sundar Pichai in Paris to discuss advancing Nigeria's role in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital innovation. They explored partnership opportunities focusing on five key areas: enhancing scalable cloud infrastructure, workforce skill development, promoting AI innovation, driving cloud adoption, and establishing Nigeria as a global tech hub. Tinubu emphasized the importance of this collaboration in aligning with his Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to diversify the economy through industrialization and digitization. The Nigerian government is also working with Awarri Technologies to develop AI software infrastructure tailored to local needs, including language and cultural aspects. Additionally, there are ongoing initiatives supported by Google to empower Nigerians with AI skills, enhancing the country's tech ecosystem. This partnership is expected to create new opportunities and elevate Nigeria's position in the global digital economy.
