Adelaide Secures LIV Golf Through 2031 with Major Course Redevelopment Plans

Adelaide will continue to host the LIV Golf tournament until 2031, with an agreement announced by South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas, LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil, and golf legend Greg Norman. The current venue, The Grange, will host the tournament until 2028 before it shifts to a redeveloped North Adelaide Golf Course, designed by Norman. This redevelopment aims to enhance the golfing facilities and attract more tourism to the region, while also providing a new public asset. Premier Malinauskas emphasized the economic potential and global exposure this initiative could bring to South Australia. The redevelopment plan includes creating a new championship course and advanced practice facilities, catering to the growing demands of LIV Golf. This move comes amid competing interest from other Australian cities, reinforcing Adelaide's position as a key location for the tournament.
