Multiple US Small Airports Finalists for USA Today Best Small Airport Award

Several U.S. airports are finalists in USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards for Best Small Airport, with public voting open through October 6 or 15 depending on the airport. Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Michigan, which served a record-breaking four million passengers in 2024 and recently expanded its concourse, is seeking to improve on last year's second-place finish. T.F. Green International Airport in Rhode Island was noted for shorter lines and proximity to popular destinations and currently ranks ninth in the poll. Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport in New York, nominated for the third consecutive year, highlights new nonstop routes and amenities such as free Wi-Fi and a kids play area. Huntsville International Airport in Alabama, a previous winner and recent Newsweek Best Small Airport honoree, is also competing for the title with voting open through October 15. Other nominees include Manchester-Boston Regional and Patrick Leahy Burlington International airports, while winners will be announced mid-October.
