Harlingen Amber Alert Teen Located Suspect Charged in Distribution Case

An Amber Alert was issued in Harlingen, Texas, for 16-year-old Madison Luna, who was last seen on July 15 wearing a black shirt, black basketball shorts, and black shoes. She was reportedly with 59-year-old Jesse Saldana, who is suspected of abducting her and providing her with alcohol and marijuana. Saldana was found in possession of alcohol and marijuana, and photos from the teen's phone showed her and others drinking and smoking in his vehicle, a green 2010 Kia Soul with a black stripe and Texas license plate WCJ7872. Luna was safely located by police a few hours after the alert was issued, and Saldana was taken into custody and charged with multiple counts related to distribution of controlled substances and providing alcohol to a minor. Saldana’s bond was set at $240,000, and if released, he must wear an ankle monitor and have no contact with the victim or children under 14. Authorities continue to urge anyone with information related to the case to contact the Harlingen Police Department.
