Andrew Thirkill and David Hood Buy Hull FC

Hull FC has officially been taken over by Andrew Thirkill and David Hood, ending Adam Pearson's 13-year tenure. The new owners, reportedly worth a combined £500 million, will not take any money from the club for the next three years, allowing all receipts to be reinvested into the team. Thirkill will serve as chairman, while Hood joins the board, as they aim to restore the club's fortunes following a disappointing 2024 season where they won only three of 27 matches. Pearson expressed gratitude for the support he received during his ownership and will remain as a consultant. The club hopes this change in leadership will enhance its grade ranking and foster unity and pride among fans. Their next campaign begins against Catalans Dragons on February 14, 2025.
