Arizona Cardinals Owner Faces Harassment, Wrongful Discharge Suit

Brittany Neuheisel, a former assistant to Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill, has filed a lawsuit in Maricopa County alleging workplace harassment and wrongful discharge. The lawsuit claims that Bidwill verbally abused Neuheisel and pressured her to disavow her family while demanding participation in illegal activities, such as providing false information on federal forms and shipping firearms. Neuheisel, a Navy veteran, asserts that Bidwill ridiculed her Catholic faith and sought to replace her with a 'young, beautiful, and athletic' assistant. The Cardinals have denied the allegations, stating they will defend against the claims in court. This lawsuit follows a similar case where Bidwill was sued for wrongful discharge by a former team executive, which resulted in a $3 million arbitration award. Neuheisel's attorney claims she left the team due to Bidwill's continuous harassment and her role being diminished by new hires.
