Newcastle Table £55m Bid for Anthony Elanga
Newcastle United have submitted an improved £55 million offer to Nottingham Forest for 23-year-old Swedish international winger Anthony Elanga, after an earlier £45 million bid was rejected. Elanga impressed last season by playing every Premier League match, scoring six goals and providing 11-12 assists, helping Forest secure European qualification. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has made Elanga a long-term target, and the player is reportedly keen on the move, with no issues expected regarding personal terms. Nottingham Forest remain reluctant to sell, valuing Elanga at £60 million, but negotiations have progressed significantly. Manchester United, Elanga’s previous club, are set to receive a sell-on percentage if the deal goes through. Aston Villa and other clubs are also monitoring the situation as Newcastle aim to make Elanga their first summer signing.
