S. Jaishankar Visits Italy for G7 Meeting

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is on a three-day official visit to Italy from November 24 to 26, 2024, to participate in the Outreach Session of the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Fiuggi, where India is a guest country. During his visit, he is expected to engage in bilateral discussions with counterparts from Italy and other nations involved in G7 activities. Jaishankar will also attend the 10th edition of the MED Mediterranean Dialogue in Rome, addressing regional security and socio-economic challenges. Additionally, he will inaugurate the new premises of the Indian Embassy in Rome, reflecting strengthened ties between India and Italy. This visit follows Jaishankar's earlier visit to Italy in November 2023, where significant agreements were signed to enhance the Strategic Partnership. India's participation in G7 events underscores its growing role on the international stage, as highlighted by Prime Minister Modi's attendance at the G7 Summit in June 2024.
