BBC Plans 35 New Bridge of Lies Episodes Hosted by Ross Kemp in Glasgow

The BBC has recommissioned the quiz show Bridge of Lies for a fifth daytime series and a fourth celebrity edition, both to be filmed in Glasgow by STV Studios Entertainment for 2026. Hosted by Ross Kemp since its 2022 launch, the show challenges contestants to cross a virtual bridge by stepping only on correct answers, with Kemp highlighting his enjoyment in meeting contestants and guiding them through the game. The daytime series will feature 25 episodes, while the celebrity version will have 10 episodes airing on Saturday nights. The format, created in 2021 as part of the BBC's initiative to develop new Scottish quiz shows, has become a steady ratings success and is praised for its engaging mix of tension and entertainment. BBC commissioning editor Alex McLeod and STV executive producer Gary Chippington both expressed enthusiasm for the show's ongoing production and its talented team and contestants. Applications to participate as contestants are open until early October.
