The body of Carol Flaz-Burgos, a 37-year-old mother from Lawrence, Massachusetts, was discovered near Kenoza Lake in Haverhill on Tuesday after a four-day search involving multiple law enforcement agencies. Flaz-Burgos was last seen on Saturday morning, leaving her apartment to dispose of trash. Her neighbor, Christian Montero, has been arrested on charges of witness intimidation and misleading the investigation, with murder charges anticipated following an autopsy. Surveillance footage showed Flaz-Burgos entering Montero's apartment, and evidence suggests her phone moved towards Haverhill concurrent with Montero's movements. Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker emphasized that the case was a top priority for investigators, who utilized digital forensics, state police air units, and K-9 teams in the search effort.
