Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill has officially taken office as the Vice-Chancellor of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) in Ludhiana, succeeding Dr. Inderjeet Singh. With over 34 years in veterinary sciences and academic administration, Dr. Gill has a notable track record, including securing over Rs 150 crores in funding from numerous research projects. He has previously held significant roles such as Director of Research and has been instrumental in fostering collaborations with 60 universities worldwide. His expertise in animal health, particularly in virology and vaccine development, is expected to benefit livestock farmers significantly. Additionally, the Punjab Senior Vets Association has expressed optimism for advancements in disease control under his leadership. Dr. Gill is the fifth Vice-Chancellor since GADVASU's establishment in 2005.
