The Glasgow Police Department in Kentucky issued a public safety warning after needles were discovered in candy pieces during trick-or-treating, urging residents, especially in the South Green area, to carefully inspect all Halloween treats. Similarly, the Madison County Sheriff's Office reported two separate needle-related incidents in candy and advised parents to examine their children's candy thoroughly. In British Columbia, Delta police and Surrey Police Service also warned parents to be vigilant after reports of needles and a metal staple found inside candy in different neighborhoods.
