Bruce Springsteen Covers Jesse Malin's Song

Bruce Springsteen has released a soulful cover of Jesse Malin's song "She Don’t Love Me Now," which will be included in the upcoming tribute album 'Silver Patron Saints: The Songs of Jesse Malin,' set to benefit Malin’s Sweet Relief artist fund following his recovery from a spinal stroke. The cover transforms Malin's original into a Stax-soul-inspired track, with Springsteen collaborating with Malin's band and saxophonist Jake Clemons. Malin expressed gratitude for Springsteen's support, stating that the cover brought him joy during a challenging recovery period. The tribute album, featuring contributions from various artists including Billie Joe Armstrong and Elvis Costello, reflects the strong ties within the music community rallying to aid Malin. This emotional project was born out of Malin's experiences while undergoing treatment in Argentina, where he was unaware of his friends' efforts to gather artists for the album. The album is available for pre-order and will be released on September 20.
