Joshua Mickey Martel, a 31-year-old man from Allentown, Pennsylvania, has been arrested and charged with multiple sexual offenses, including rape and human trafficking, involving two girls aged 12 and 13. The investigation began when the 12-year-old victim reported to her guardian that her mother sold her to Martel for cash and drugs, leading to the assault in a hotel room. According to police, the mother allegedly facilitated the arrangement, leaving her daughter alone with Martel after witnessing a transaction of drugs and cash. In a separate incident, a school resource officer discovered the 13-year-old victim in the same hotel, where she also claimed to have been sexually assaulted by Martel. He faces numerous felony charges, including statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors, and is currently held on a $500,000 bond with a preliminary hearing scheduled for September 10. Authorities have not disclosed whether the mother of the 12-year-old girl will face charges.
