Kia Unveils 2026 K4 Hatchback at NY Auto Show

Kia has officially unveiled the 2026 K4 Hatchback at the 2025 New York Auto Show, following the strong U.S. sales of the K4 sedan, which replaced the Forte and became Kia's second-best seller. The hatchback's body is 11 inches shorter than the sedan and offers 22.2 cubic feet of cargo space with seats up and 59.3 cubic feet with them folded, rivaling competitors like the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and VW Golf hatchbacks. Engine options include a 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a 190-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter, with the sportier GT-Line trims featuring enhanced suspension and tech. The interior maintains dual 12.3-inch displays, class-leading rear legroom, and now offers extra rear headroom thanks to a redesigned roofline. Pricing is expected to start below $25,000, with top trims around $30,000. The K4 Hatchback will arrive at U.S. dealerships in late 2025, and Kia is considering expanding sales to European markets in the future.
