The 2024 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Whistlestop Tour will begin on October 30 in Ketchikan, Alaska, featuring a 74-foot Sitka spruce from the Tongass National Forest. The tree will embark on a 4,000-mile journey to Washington D.C., making 11 stops along the way, including two in Colorado on November 10 and 11. At each stop, visitors can sign the trailer, purchase souvenirs, and participate in holiday festivities. The tree is part of a 54-year tradition by the USDA Forest Service to provide the 'People's Tree' to the nation. In Colorado, the tree will be at Cabela's in Grand Junction and The Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, coinciding with Veterans Day celebrations. The final destination for the tree will be the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on November 22.
