Arrests Made in Maryland and Raleigh Shootings
Two separate shootings led to arrests in Maryland and North Carolina. In Frederick County, Maryland, Francisco Javier Sanchez-Juarez and Jeffrey Josue Diaz were arrested and charged with first-degree murder after a fatal shooting on I-70 that killed one man and injured two others; both are being held without bond as the investigation continues. In Raleigh, North Carolina, police responded to a shootout at a Sheetz gas station on New Bern Avenue where about 50 shots were fired after a fight between two men inside the store. Two suspects have been arrested in the Raleigh incident, but their identities have not been disclosed. No injuries were reported in Raleigh, but several vehicles, including a black SUV, were damaged. Authorities in both cases are urging anyone with information to come forward.
