Racine St. Catherine’s Wins WIAA D4 Championship

Racine St. Catherine’s Angels won the 2024 WIAA Division 4 state football championship, defeating Baldwin-Woodville 26-22 at Camp Randall Stadium. Quarterback Eddie Vinson Jr. connected with wide receiver Lamont Hamilton for three touchdowns, with Hamilton accumulating 275 all-purpose yards. St. Catherine's took a commanding 20-0 lead, but Baldwin-Woodville fought back, narrowing the gap to 26-22 late in the game. Despite being outgained in total yardage, St. Catherine's defense held strong, with a crucial interception by Isaac Cantu sealing the win. This victory marks St. Catherine’s second state title and their first since 2018, while it was Baldwin-Woodville's first championship game appearance since 1994.
