Denzel Washington to Star in Netflix Heist Thriller

Netflix has officially announced 'Here Comes the Flood,' a heist thriller starring Denzel Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Daisy Edgar-Jones, directed by Fernando Meirelles and written by Simon Kinberg. The story follows a bank guard, a teller, and a master thief caught in a deadly web of cons and double crosses, told in a non-linear style. Meirelles will produce alongside Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Films. The project, acquired by Netflix in 2020, is a major original film for the streaming service. The main cast members are coming off prominent roles in other high-profile films. Production is currently in pre-production with a targeted release in 2026.
