Paul McCartney Supports Joe Cocker's Hall of Fame Bid
Paul McCartney has publicly endorsed the late Joe Cocker for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, writing a letter to the voting panel which includes artists, historians, and music industry professionals. McCartney praised Cocker's unique style and imaginative rendition of the Beatles' song 'With a Little Help From My Friends', produced by Denny Cordell. Cocker, who passed away in 2014, is among 14 nominees for the 2025 class, which includes artists like Oasis, Mariah Carey, and The White Stripes. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled for later this year in Los Angeles. McCartney, who has been inducted twice into the Hall of Fame, believes Cocker deserves to be recognized for his contributions to rock music history. Voting is currently open, and results will be announced in April.
