Two Doors Down Plans First Live Shows At Glasgow Hydro In 2026
The acclaimed BBC Scottish sitcom "Two Doors Down" is set to debut as a live stage show at Glasgow's OVO Hydro in September 2026, with three scheduled performances featuring the original cast. The live adaptation, titled "Two Doors Down: Live!", promises a mix of neighbourly drama, surprises, and humor centered around a gathering at Eric and Beth's house, with familiar characters from the TV series reprising their roles. Created by Simon Carlyle and Gregor Sharp, the series had paused after Carlyle's death in 2023, but the live show and a forthcoming Christmas special signal a revival of the beloved sitcom. The show has been praised for its sharp writing and affectionate portrayal of suburban life and has been recognized with multiple awards, including RTS Scotland and Bafta Scotland honors. Tickets for the live performances will go on sale in October 2024, with pre-sale sign-ups already open. The transition from screen to stage follows a similar path to that of another popular Scottish sitcom, "Still Game," which also enjoyed sold-out live shows at the Hydro.
