Cheltenham Police Investigating Bus Stop Robberies

Cheltenham Township police are investigating a series of robberies targeting students waiting at bus stops. On Wednesday, a girl on Asbury Avenue reported being threatened and having her cellphone stolen by suspects in a black Kia sedan. The same vehicle, described as a black four-door with tinted windows and a damaged front bumper, attempted similar robberies at bus stops on Mountain Avenue and Valley Road. The suspects are two males and one female, the latter described as having red or maroon braided hair. Police are asking anyone with information or relevant camera footage to contact them. The community is on high alert, with increased police monitoring at bus stops and support services offered to affected students.
