Third Suspect Charged in Nyzireya Moore Murder

Rahdeem Calhoun, 23, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the 2022 shooting death of 12-year-old Nyzireya Moore in West Englewood, Chicago. Moore was fatally shot while celebrating her birthday when three gunmen opened fire on a rival gang member. Calhoun was detained on Thursday, and his detention hearing is scheduled for Friday. Two other individuals, Abdul Ali and Malik Parish, were charged with first-degree murder in November 2022 and remain in custody awaiting trial. Surveillance footage and an anonymous witness were crucial in identifying the suspects.
