Triple Killer Admits Murders, Denies Rape in Court

Kyle Clifford, 26, is on trial for the brutal murders of his ex-girlfriend Louise Hunt, her sister Hannah, and their mother Carol, which he committed after Louise ended their relationship. The court heard that Clifford planned the attack, gaining entry to the family home through deception before launching a violent assault with a knife and crossbow. Prosecutor Alison Morgan KC described the acts against Louise as a 'violent, sexual act of spite' prior to her murder and stated that he had also falsely imprisoned her. While he admitted to the murders and possession of weapons, Clifford denies the rape charge. The prosecution highlighted his anger at Louise for the breakup and at her family for their support of her decision. Following the attack, Clifford attempted to take his own life and was later found injured in a cemetery.
