Mike Bordin: Mike Patton Unwilling to Perform with Faith No More

Faith No More's future remains uncertain, as drummer Mike Bordin recently revealed that while the band had extensively rehearsed for their planned 2021 tour dates, singer Mike Patton ultimately did not participate due to mental health challenges exacerbated by the pandemic. Although Patton has since resumed performing with his other band, Mr. Bungle, he has not rejoined Faith No More, leading Bordin to state that Patton has shifted from being unable to perform with the group to being unwilling. The rest of the band members, who described themselves as well-prepared and in top form before the cancellations, have expressed frustration at the continued lack of communication with Patton. Faith No More has not scheduled any future shows and is considered to be on a 'semi-permanent hiatus,' as previously mentioned by keyboardist Roddy Bottum. The band emphasizes they supported Patton through his struggles, but the long-term prospects for their reunion appear bleak.
