Santa Barbara Hosts 13th Annual Veteran’s Stand Down Aiding Homeless Veterans

Various communities across the United States are holding events to honor and support veterans. Santa Barbara County hosted its 13th Annual Veterans Stand Down event, providing homeless and at-risk veterans with haircuts, clothes, food, and essential services, supported by around 500 volunteers including active-duty personnel from Vandenberg Space Force base. Tucson, Arizona, is organizing the Horsin' Around for Veterans event featuring music, food, and an equine connection program to benefit local veterans' support groups. Santa Barbara is also holding a Veterans Day Ceremony at the cemetery with performances and a flyover to honor servicemen and women. In Louisiana, the American Veterans Traveling Tribute is bringing an 80% replica of the Vietnam Wall and the Cost of Freedom Tribute to Kinder, offering a powerful memorial experience to those who cannot travel to Washington, D.C.
