UN Push for Gaza Stabilisation Amid Hamas Threats

France, Britain and the United States are finalising a UN Security Council resolution to authorise an international stabilisation force for Gaza as a fragile US-mediated ceasefire holds, with Turkey emerging as a key mediator and securing a seat on a US-led joint statement after talks with US leaders. Ankara says it is prepared to participate, Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin reportedly played a central role, and Turkey has dispatched an 81-member AFAD search-and-recovery team to Egypt awaiting access to Gaza; US advisers say Washington could provide up to 200 support personnel and is courting contributors including Indonesia, the UAE, Egypt, Qatar and Azerbaijan.
