5-Year-Old Boy Critically Shot in Kenwood Apartment, Chicago

A 5-year-old boy was critically injured after being shot in the head inside an apartment on the South Side of Chicago in the Kenwood neighborhood. The incident occurred around 1:15-1:17 p.m. in the 4400 block of South Greenwood Avenue. The boy was immediately taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Police recovered a firearm at the scene but have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
