Ontex Plans Sale of Turkish Subsidiary to Dilek Grup by 2025

Ontex Group NV has entered into a binding agreement to sell its Turkish subsidiary to Dilek Grup, which includes its Istanbul plant and related export operations. The Turkish subsidiary specializes in branded personal hygiene products and generated approximately €90 million in sales for 2024. This sale is part of Ontex's strategic shift to focus on retail and healthcare brands in Europe and North America, with the transaction expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approval. Dilek Grup, a distributor of fast-moving consumer goods, aims to expand into personal care production following this acquisition. Ontex president Laurent Nielly expressed gratitude for the Turkish team's efforts and confidence in Dilek Grup's ability to further develop the business. This move aligns with Ontex's ongoing restructuring efforts, having previously divested operations in other emerging markets.
