2025 Marshall Scholarship Winners Announced

Travis Kanoa Chai Andrade and Nolan Musslewhite have been awarded the prestigious 2025 Marshall Scholarships, which enable American students to pursue graduate studies in the UK. Chai Andrade, an anthropology major from Hawaii, will study at the University of East Anglia and the University of Glasgow, focusing on Indigenous cultures and heritage stewardship. The Marshall Scholarships, established in 1953, are awarded to academically exceptional students, with 36 recipients selected this year from nearly 1,000 applicants. Harvard, Duke, and other universities have notable winners in this cohort, with Duke being the second-largest producer of recipients nationally. The scholarships cover up to three years of fully funded graduate study, emphasizing the academic excellence and leadership potential of the scholars. This year's recipients come from 25 universities across 16 U.S. states, highlighting a diverse array of backgrounds and academic interests.
