Florida Man Charged After Machete Threat

Miguel Rodriguez, a 43-year-old man from Palm Coast, was arrested for threatening workers with a machete after they temporarily blocked a road while backing up a vehicle. Witnesses reported that Rodriguez became enraged, exited his truck, and yelled threats while brandishing the machete. Although the workers claimed there were signs indicating their presence, Rodriguez insisted there were none. Deputies located him about three miles from the scene, where he admitted to having several machetes in his truck. Charged with aggravated assault without intent to kill, Rodriguez was released on bond after the incident. Sheriff Rick Staly condemned Rodriguez's behavior, emphasizing the importance of patience in such situations.
