LSU Baseball Wins Eighth College World Series Title

The LSU Tigers baseball team celebrated their eighth College World Series (CWS) title in 2025, highlighted by standout performances from four players who received All-America honors. Sophomore pitcher Kade Anderson earned First-Team All-American recognition and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the CWS, finishing the season with impressive strikeout statistics. Junior first baseman Jared Jones and right-handed pitcher Anthony Eyanson, along with freshman outfielder Derek Curiel, were named Second-Team All-Americans; Jones also played a key role in the team's success, moving up the LSU career home run list. The championship team will be commemorated with limited edition bobbleheads, and a formal celebration was held at Alex Box Stadium with fans invited to honor the Tigers' achievement. Several players, including pitcher Chase Shores and Jones, became repeat national champions, emphasizing the team's strong unity and resilience. LSU's coach Jay Johnson marked his second national title in three seasons, reflecting the program's sustained excellence in college baseball.
