Two Phoenix Fires Hospitalize Men, One in Critical Condition
Two separate fire incidents occurred in Phoenix, resulting in serious injuries to two men. In south Phoenix, a house fire near 28th Street and South Mountain Avenues led to one man being hospitalized with heat-related issues, though he remains in stable condition. Meanwhile, an apartment fire in north Phoenix near Tatum Boulevard and Cactus Road left an elderly man in extremely critical condition after firefighters rescued him from the second story. Both fires prompted investigations into their causes, which remain unknown. No firefighters were injured in either incident. The north Phoenix fire required a swift emergency response due to heavy smoke and flames, while the south Phoenix blaze was exacerbated by extreme heat conditions exceeding 110 degrees.
