Dolly Musical Premieres in Nashville, Cast Announced

Dolly Parton's autobiographical musical, 'Dolly: An Original Musical,' will premiere in Nashville this July, featuring Katie Rose Clarke, Carrie St. Louis, and Quinn Titcomb portraying Parton at different stages of her life. The production, directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher, has already extended its Nashville run due to high demand and will later move to Broadway in 2026. The cast was chosen following a national search, and two additional performers from the casting call will join the Nashville company. The musical will include both original songs and renditions of Parton's iconic hits such as 'Jolene' and '9 to 5.' Belmont University is also launching 'Dolly U,' an educational initiative giving students hands-on experience with the production. Parton emphasized her desire to oversee the telling of her life story while she is still able to contribute to its creation.
