Martin Truex Jr. Confirms 2025 Daytona 500 Entry

Martin Truex Jr. has confirmed he will participate in the 2025 Daytona 500 but will not drive for 23XI Racing as previously anticipated. Truex, who retired from full-time NASCAR competition after the 2024 season, stated he is uncertain about 23XI's plans, indicating that Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) will likely assist with his entry. The ongoing antitrust lawsuit involving 23XI Racing and NASCAR has complicated the situation, limiting 23XI's ability to field Truex's car as they are currently racing as open teams. Truex, who has 34 career victories but lacks a Daytona 500 win, expressed excitement about racing in the Xfinity Series part-time as well. The ambiguity surrounding his Daytona ride stems from JGR's restrictions on fielding multiple entries under NASCAR rules. As of now, Truex is looking forward to the Daytona 500 and additional Xfinity races, with his former crew chief Cole Pearn supporting him.
