The Philadelphia Eagles have signed linebacker Shaquille Quarterman, a former fourth-round pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars, to bolster their defense under new coordinator Vic Fangio. Quarterman, who has primarily contributed on special teams throughout his four seasons in the NFL, recorded 54 tackles in 63 games with the Jaguars. The Eagles waived offensive lineman Jason Poe to make room for Quarterman, who will have the opportunity to secure a spot on the 53-man roster during training camp and preseason games. Coach Nick Sirianni praised quarterback Jalen Hurts for his impressive performance in training camp as the team prepares for the upcoming season. Additionally, the Eagles have announced a watch party at Lincoln Financial Field for their season opener against the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo, Brazil, on September 6.
