Dogs Await Adoption Amid Long Waits

Several dogs have recently found their forever homes after long waits in shelters. Balto, a husky who endured severe injuries, was finally adopted after eight months of waiting and is now thriving with a supportive family. In Maryland, Angel, a seven-year-old pit bull mix, has been overlooked for four years but remains hopeful for a loving home. Lastly, Oaky, a Labrador Retriever/Carolina mix, has been adopted after nearly three years in the Humane Society of NW Georgia, illustrating the ongoing challenge of finding homes for shelter dogs.
