Prince William Hosts Earthshot Prize in Cape Town

Prince William is making a significant four-day visit to South Africa for the Earthshot Prize, which will take place in Cape Town on November 6, marking its first event on the African continent. The visit, dubbed 'Earthshot Week', aims to highlight environmental innovation and engage young climate advocates, including meetings with local leaders and a large gathering of young people from Africa and Southeast Asia. Events will feature a landmark speech by the Prince on nature and wildlife support, in addition to performances by notable artists and presentations by high-profile guests. The ceremony will be hosted in a reusable eco-dome, emphasizing sustainability and creating approximately 600 jobs. The Earthshot Prize, founded by William, recognizes innovative solutions to environmental challenges and awards £1 million to each of its five winners annually.
