Footage captured by Jackson shows the camera shaking and falling after the impact. Colombia's association of sports journalists, ACORD, has called for FIFA to impose an exemplary sanction on Martínez, condemning the act as an attack on freedom of expression. Neither Martínez nor the South American soccer body CONMEBOL have commented on the incident. Argentina currently leads the South American World Cup qualifying standings.
