Florida Ports Set Cruise Passenger Records

Port Everglades set a new passenger record for Fiscal Year 2024 with 4,010,919 cruise passengers, a 39% increase from the previous year, and anticipates 4.4 million guests for FY2025. PortMiami also achieved a record with 8,233,056 passengers, marking a 12.8% rise from 7,299,294 in FY2023, solidifying its status as the world's busiest cruise port. Both ports benefited from increased demand as the cruise industry fully recovers from the pandemic, with larger ships contributing to the rising numbers. Port Everglades' CEO attributed the success to diverse itineraries and the addition of Disney Cruise Line.
